Newborn Care

  • Assist with the basic infant care: diapering, bathing, dressing, etc.
  • Assist with breastfeeding support, troubleshooting, pumping/bottle feeding assistance, latch/positioning issues, & provide IBCLC resources if needed

A Postpartum Doula is an experienced support professional who can serve a family in a variety of ways as they adjust to life with a newborn. Postpartum Doulas fill an important role in providing emotional and physical support to the new family after the birth of a baby. The early days & months with a newborn can be challenging; A Parent's Love provides a non-judgmental, supportive, caring, calming presence as you recover from childbirth and learn to navigate life with your new baby (or babies!).  Whether it is a few days or a few months, we are committed to helping you rest, recover, and connect with your baby.  A Doula’s role changes from day to day depending on the needs of the mother, and may include:
